Peter Kay will write a third book

Peter Kay alongside Hodder & Stoughton will write a third book after signing a "major new deal," the book is described as a "genre-busting project".

In a report on the Bookseller website, Kay says: "I never thought I'd write one book, let alone three. I'm absolutely delighted and every night, thank the good lord for spell check. I look forward to completing the book which is probably my most ambitious project to date".

The comedian was lastly published by Random House imprint Century for his memoirs The Sound of Laughter and Saturday Night Peter.

Title, a mix of text, photographs and illustrations, Kay's character is to describe the world's residence, and his comedy tour travel travel this journey, which lasts until October 21st will not be named.

Black said: "I'm so happy to have the chance to work with Peter again. This is going to be a genre-busting project, with all the genius trademark elements that make Peter one of the great comic stars of our age and that make the British public love him so much."

Kay will appear on Comic Relief donning the wig and dress of his creation Geraldine McQueen to duet with the Scottish singer Susan Boyle to cover the Chess song, I know Him So Well.

Kay said, “I thought it would be a laugh. I wrote to Susan Boyle and she was really up for it. She was great on the day and worked very hard. We did stick to the Dickson/Paige version but have added some subtle funny bits.”

Peter Kay To Resume UK Tour This Month


‘Tour That Doesn’t Tour’ Tour will be resumed by Peter Kay this month, with a series of shows at London’s O2 Arena.

Five consecutive shows at the London venue will be perform by comedian embarking on the 31st March.

He will then appear on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th April before bmoving on to his next residency at Birmingham NIA.

This tour will carry throughout 2011 because of its massive success so far.

Peter Kay tickets are on sale now for shows in London, Birmingham, Dublin, Glasgow, Liverpool and Manchester.
