Local businesses share the Peter Kay bonanza

Manchester businesses are laughing all the way to the bank thanks to Peter Kay's record stint at the M.E.N. Arena.
Bars, restaurants and hotels around the city are doing brisk business as thousands of adoring fans flood to Manchester to watch the Bolton comic during his epic residency at the Arena.
Some 10,000 fans watched the first of 20 consecutive Manchester gigs planned for the next four weeks.
Kay returns for another 15 nights at the same venue in September and October next year.
Tickets sold so quickly that Kay scheduled another 50 gigs around the country to satisfy demand.
By its conclusion, Kay will have entertained 750,000 fans and brought in an estimated £26m in ticket sales with his 'tour that doesn't tour'.
Manchester, which is hosting 35 nights in all, will enjoy a mini boom in the city centre thanks to his record-breaking stint.
Peter Kay Tickets are available online on GigSport.
